ramblings on life, love and the Boston Red Sox - not necessarily in that order...

who knows you best...

sometimes i feel like i've known katie forever. she just gets me, and i get her. at least i think i do. we sometimes go a while without talking; othertimes we talk daily. we chitchat, we gossip, but mostly, we just talk. it's like nancy used to say 'you guys are soulmate best friends'. we may not spend the most time together, but i know she's always tehre if i need her. i hope she knows that i always am as well. sometimes we fight - probably because we are a lot alike. we both love good will hunting, rdj, ou, reading and the red sox. we share a mutual hatred of helen hunt, the damn yankees and jennifer lopez. we like chili's, ranch on our chips, rice bowl #2, ally mcbeal, driveways, college basketball, bridget jones, swirls, captain morgan (coke for me, diet for her), orange gatorade, mushrooms, crab dip, movies, magazines, sushi neko, sonic, raspberry lit's (5 second rule), hollis price, 90210 reruns, jager shots, black sweaters, beer with lime, will & grace, dawson's creek, cooking, lucky underwear, mitchell mckinney, nancy's mashed potatoes, madison and morgan, the color RED, the real world, e!, victoria's, elton john, big ed, alex spaulding, pedro, nomah, josh heupel, otb, emailing and the osbournes. but, i like matt, she likes ben.

we play 'who knows you best' often, and we usually kick ass. together we've purchased neon shoes, body shop makeup, a thousand friday lunches, and plenty of swirls, light on the sangria. we've witnessed nancy hurling at something from heaven when she saw us smoking on i-35. we've gone to a few ou/texas weekends in dallas, to third eye blind in stillwater, and to the big 12 basketball tournament in kansas city. we've sung boomer sooner and the ou chant, gone to the bathroom in a car wash, destroyed a kitchen for kicks, ordered pizzas from the cab, and dropped glasses off a bridge b/c we thought it was meaningful. we've worked together at otb, boomer books and harold's warehouse sales. i can't even begin to list what all we've done together. i think it all the time, but i really could not ask for more in a friend. i could not ask for more even if she was really the sister i feel she is.
