say it ain't so
so this is the way things are going to be? no more nomah. what am i going to do? i don't want arod. i'll stick to good ole number 5 - the man teddy said was going to be the next to hit .400. no more 'now batting number 5, shortstop nomah gahciapahha'. followed by 'your cleanup batter, manny........ramirez'. come within five outs of the world series, sign keith foulke, trade for curt schilling, is that not enough? i don't see how trading manny and nomar, for arod, jack and extra salary is really going to help the team.
poor nomar - he has been saying that all he wants is to stay in boston and then to hear on his honeymoon that he is more than likely going to be traded in a weird scenario involving arod, the rangers, the dodgers, manny and maybe a little pitching...
i guess that all i can say is, thanks for the memories. you were the best shortstop i've ever seen in person, and that includes ozzie smith, cal ripken junior, jeter, arod, tejada, vizquel, larking, maybe more, but that's all i can think of offhand. but you are my very favorite. i'm sure going to miss you b/c i honored your devotion and great desire to play the game. you made me believe, and it's devastating me to think of you doing your ritual pre-at-bat antics for another team. i hope you are happy in la, that the lack of media scrutiny better suits your playing style. best of luck always - know that i'll remain a fan of yours regardless.
